SUMMER IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

AUGUST 26 - 29, 2025

Join us as we travel to the Capital of the United States for four days of patriotic history. We will visit or drive by the Memorials,  The US Capitol Building,  the Library of Congress, the Kennedy Center, White House Visitor Center, Smithsonian Museums, and Arlington Cemetery. We will also have a guided driving tour of the city, historic US Memorials, and the White House. 

Day 1:   Travel from Ohio to Alexandria, VA where we stop for a visit to the Iwo Jima Memorial. Dedicated in 1954 to all Marines who have given their lives in defense of the United States since 1775. Dinner tonight is (included) at Primo Pizza, a local favorite, before check in at the Hampton Inn Alexandria, VA South. 

Day 2:   Breakfast (included) starts our day before we meet our local guide and board for a full day of history. We will see the many Memorials located throughout the city, including the White House. Our guide will also offer lots of stories and history as we tour  the Capitol Building and the Library of Congress. Tonight a delicious dinner is (included) at the Fish House in Alexandria. 

Day 3:   After breakfast (included) we travel to the White House Visitor Center, featuring approximately 100 historical artifacts and over 90 artifacts from the White House collection. On to The Kennedy Center for a tour of this beautiful facility and enjoy a box lunch at the Center Cafe. After lunch, we will arrive at the Smithsonian Museums where we will have all afternoon to tour on our own and at our leisure. Dinner tonight is (included) at one of the local favorite restaurants near the hotel.

Day 4:    Our final day begins with breakfast (included) before we board for a visit to Arlington Cemetery, for a nostalgic tour of the historic grounds. Lunch today is on your own enroute home.
