FEATURING MISSOURI AND OKLAHOMA
JUNE 9 - 14, 2026
A historic ride on Route 66, the original route from Los Angeles, California to Chicago, Illinois. Its been 100 years since Congress first established Route 66 as a National Highway. Join us as we continue our trek down this historic highway for a nostalgic adventure. We will visit Cars on the Route, Gearhead Curios, Baxter Springs Heritage Center, Route 66 murals, Bonnie & Clyde hideout, Coleman Theater, UranusFudge Shop Devils Elbow, Stagecoach & Route 66 museums, St Robert Route 66 Neon Park, Edwardsville Route 66 Festival and more!
Day 1: Travel with us to the Drury Inn & Suites, Valley Park, MO and check in for the night with dinner provided at the hotel or nearby restaurants (on your own).
Day 2: Breakfast (included) before we depart for Springfield, MO with a stop in Cuba, to view unique Route 66 murals. We continue our travels to Springfield, MO with lunch at Hopper's Pub, themed around Route 66. This afternoon, we will have a step on guide to show us the Springfield area and its significance of Route 66. Continuing on Route 66 to Galena, KS, for dinner (included) before visiting Cars on the Route. This restored Kan-O-Tex service station is an attraction with an emphasis on the movie Cars, including a 1951 International Boom truck that inspired the character Tow Tater. We will stay overnight at the Drury Inn, Joplin, MO.
Day 3 : Breakfast (included) before meeting our step on guide for the morning. We will visit many sites in the area including, the Bonnie & Clyde hide out, Grand Falls, We will also have a short stop at Gearhead Curios, a restored Texaco filling station building constructed out of native stone in 1939, and served Route 66 travelers. It now serves as a gift shop and photo op. Lunch is included at the Baxter Springs Heritage Center with a self guided tour before continuing our journey to Miami, OK. Dinner, entertainment and a tour of the historic Coleman Theater, a beautiful Spanish Mission Revival style theater built in 1930 as a venue for Vaudeville. It has been lovingly restored and includes a massive Mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ and a 2,000 pound chandelier that once served entertainers such as Will Rogers, Tom Mix, and Bing Crosby. We will overnight at the Hampton Inn, Miami.
DAY 4: Breakfast (included) at the hotel before we start our return trip with a stop in Pulaski County & St Robert, MO for lunch on our own in historic downtown Waynesville and meet our step on guide. We will learn of the area, visit Devils Elbow and a visit to Uranus a true Route 66 tourist trap that features a delicious Fudge Factory, general store, a Sideshow Museum and even a miniature golf course. Dinner is included at the Route 66 dinner and a walk through the St Robert Route 66 Neon Park that features restored Route 66 neon signs in an outdoor park-like setting with a lot of history about each sign. After a full day, we will check into our hotel, the Fairfield Inn, St Robert, MO.
DAY 5: Breakfast (included) at the hotel before we depart for a tour of Edwardsville and more Route 66 history. This afternoon takes us to the Edwardsville Route 66 Festival to enjoy an entire afternoon of entertainment, a car show. The Taste of 66 Experience Tent (included) will take you back in time to savor delights reminiscent of Edwardsville's Route 66 era,and food trucks. We will overnight at the Drury in Collinsville, IL.
DAY 6: Breakfast (included) at the hotel before we depart and travel home to Ohio.
INCLUDES: Escorted transportation, 5 nights lodging, 5 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 2 dinners, luggage service, admission to attractions, taxes and meal gratuities.
