CELEBRATE 250 IN ALEXANDRIA, VA
AUGUST 10 - 13, 2026
Northern Virginia played an important part in forming our Nations history and we will learn some of that history on this tour. We will visit the National Museum of the United States Army, Museum of the Marine Corp, and Turning Point Suffragist Memorial. Stroll the estate of Mount Vernon and visit the home of George Washington as well as time to remember our fallen heroes at the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico. We can learn how early homes were built when we visit the Carlyle House, and visit Gadsbys Tavern Museum for an enjoyable dinner in this Historic Tavern.
Day 1: Today we travel to Leesburg, VA and check in at Hampton Inn, Bellvoir, VA before we depart for dinner (included) at Magnolia at the Mill and a 250 presentation celebrating the anniversary of our country.
Day 2: Start your day with the breakfast buffet (included) before we board and travel to the National Museum of the U.S.Army for 250 years of Army history. Our next stop is Mount Vernon, the iconic home of George Washington. Explore the estate, gardens, museum and history of this national treasure. We will enjoy a lunch cruise (included) on the Potomac River, before we move on to the Turning Point Suffragist Memorial and learn about the women who fought for the right to vote. Tonight we will enjoy dinner (included) at Madigans Waterfront Restaurant, located on the Occoquan River where seafood is their specialty.
DAY 3: After our breakfast buffet (included) we travel to Quantico Cemetery, a National Memorial to Veterans who served in the Armed Forces and located adjacent to Marine Corps base Quantico. Next we arrive at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. For a tour and lunch (included After lunch we will tour Carlyle House, a historic home museum in Old Town Alexandria and one of finest examples of Georgian residential architecture. Our local tour guide will then take us on a walking tour of this historic park. Dinner tonight is (included) at Gadsbys Tavern, a National Historic Landmark built in 1785 and has hosted numerous important statesmen including Presidents Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, and Adams.
DAY 4: Breakfast buffet (included) begins our day as we board for the National Air and Space Museum at Udvar-Hazy Center. Where we have a chance to visit one of the most popular museums in the world. After lunch we board for our trip home
