Sail 250 Norfolk, VA

Commemorate the U.S.s 250th anniversary with special seating at the viewing of the maritime festival parade of Sail 250 in Norfolk, VA. Over 60 tall ships from 20 countries will be in full view as they sail down the Elizabeth River in parade fashion before docking in the Harbor. The ships will be on display and available for free boarding by visitors. We will also meet Partick Henry at St Johns Church and enjoy a tour of this beautiful historic Church, lunch and a tasting at Gauthier Vineyards, tour the McArthur Memorial, visit Casemate Museum, a sight seeing cruise of the harbor and dinner at Omars Carriage House. We will also have free time to explore and enjoy the Sail 250 Festival exhibits and tall ships.
Day 1: Today we travel to Glen Allen, VA and check in at the Drury Inn with dinner (included) at the hotel.
Day 2: Breakfast buffet (included) begins our day before we visit St Johns Church, where we meet Patrick Henry for a historic review of the church and the happenings during the beginning of our nation. We move on to the Gauthier Vineyards for a tour of this beautiful vintage vineyard and enjoy lunch and a wine tasting (included). This afternoon we will visit the McArthur Memorial, dedicated to the men and women who served with General George McArthur and preserving the life story of this decorated General. Dinner tonight (included) is at Omars Carriage House located in the historic section of Norfolk.
DAY 3: Breakfast buffet (included) before we take our reserve seats along the Elizabeth River for the Sail 250 Parade. After the parade we tour the Casemate Museum, located within the walls of Fort Monroe. Casemates played an important role in defense, housing for soldiers, and warehousing for munitions in protecting our early citizens. After lunch (included) we return to the hotel to freshen up and enjoy free time to explore the festival or shop in the area. Dinner (on your own) tonight at the festival or at the hotel.
DAY 4: Breakfast buffet (included) before we board our harbour cruise vessel for a sight-seeing tour with lunch (included). After the cruise, the balance of the day is yours to visit the ships, festival exhibits, or area attractions. Dinner is (on your own) at the festival or the hotel.
DAY 5: Breakfast buffet (included) before we board and depart for our journey home. Lunch and dinner stops (on your own) en route.
